The CALIFA collaboration celebrated its 1st meeting (Kick-off Meeting),
after the final approval of the proposal, the 7th and 8th of June, 2010,
in Almeria.
The topics to addressed in the Kick-off meeting were:

Presentations and discussion of the CALIFA science projects.
- General description of the status of the project.
- Presentation of the current obtained data (Pilot, so far), the final
survey strategy, the data quality (based on the quality), and the
possible information to be extracted from the data.
- Presentation of the final CALIFA Team, the publication policy and
its implications.
During the presentation the 42 participants shows their science interest on
use of CALIFA data. Different Techincal and Scientific groups where
defined. The basic structure of the communication between the members of the
collaboration was defined. Finally, it was decided to distribute the raw and
reduced data from the different pilot studies.
This 1st meetinghas been basically restricted to the members of the
collaboration.
